Default Scope Base & Mounts

What scope base & mounts do you guys recommend for a Browning X Bolt? Looking at DNZ Game Reaper as of now.

Talley makes some nice two-piece mounts (the base and lower ring half together are one piece then the top ring half is the other). They are light, sturdy and great on X-Bolts. The DNZ 's are nice, functional but a might "bulky" in appearance IMO.

I normally use Burris "Zee" rings, but for my X-bolt I opted for Browning's own;

Game reaper (DNZ) mounts are the only mounts I will use on any of my rifles since discovering them a few years ago.

If I didn't use the Game reapers I would use Warne Maxima bases with Warne rings. There is a reason that the Military adopted the Picatinny / Weaver system a long time ago and are still using it today.

I wouldn't give you a nickle for a set of standard Leupold bases and rings.

I agree with BB. The Weaver style is the strongest mount you can buy provided you don't get a cheaply made copy.

DNZ on all the rifles i own,there strong and lightweight and no need to worry about rings being aligned.
