Ok this is kind of a complex question. I kinda understand how burris's corr@100yard system works and can get the calculations by dividing the bullet drop by the shot distance X 100= Corr@100yds but how do I apply it to my ballistic plex reticle. I have the tech notes from burris and it has the reticle and has the yds besides each reticle mark and has corr@100yds I'm wondering if these numbers are for the ballistic plex reticle its self and if you are to match the numbers you get from your caliber to there numbers they give and add/subtract the difference. Here are the numbers 200yd -3.1" 1.54Corr@100yds
300yd -13.5" 4.51Corr@100yds
400yd -30.1" 7.52Corr@100yds
500yd -55.3"11.06Corr@100yds

They use these numbers with a example for the 308 Win 150grain

I'm shooting a 22-250 55 grain bullet at 3680FPS. I would really appreciate anyone who can help.

In the box that your scope came in is a chart for most of the "common" calibers (peal and stick type sheet) each using the "common" grain bullet for that caliber.

(I stick them to the inside of my ammo box lids, so I can remember the drop for each line with that particular grain bullet)

Find the one that's for your .22-250, and I'm sure even if they only list ONE, it will be the 55 grain bullet chart.


I use that reticle on all my scoped rifles but one (.204), I have the Mil-dot on that one.

i dont know if this can apply to the ballistic plex exactly but most bdc reticles can be matched simply by playing with the zoom ring. just shoot at 100 (or 200 is that is what applies to the burris reticle) then shoot at 300, 400, 500 and so on but all groups must be shot on a single larger target. put a big red sticker in the center of each group. go back to your 100 yard shooting position and aim the center of the reticle at the target. start dialing in the zoom ring till each picket covers or is at least close to its corresponding range and your done. make a reference mark on the ring so you can find it again in field. the big drawback to this technique is that you may not be able to use the reticle at max magnification and if your gun shoots to flat your scope might not have enough zoom to compensate for the trajectory. i actually use this technique with mill-dot reticles on rimfires but i only use the first dot
