Default Scope

Hello,

Are there scopes made with a crosshair and a dot or diamond that you put over each other when shooting? All my scopes have just a crosshair and I was thinking if I had a crosshair with a dot then life would be much easier. If those scopes don't exist then why not? I actually dont really now how scopes work but I am guessing the cross hair is at the front.

Anyway I am rambling like a noob, but I am new to hunting so....

They do exist. I have a friend that has a few that have cross hairs but the center of them has a little dot in it. It has really fine cross hairs going away from the dot. I mean really fine. Is this what you want? I'm not sure what the type is called here. Or do you want like a red dot?

Any Dot would work. Can I buy like a sticker dot and put it on my scope?

I think this is what I am looking for.

There is a cross hair and then a circle and or dot.

BTW how aexactly does a scope work? The scope is mounted higher than the barrel so that means if you aim, you aim higher.

those are just a few of whats available..
i personally have taken to the mil system..
it has been alot of werk to make it somewhat full proof,
and i just change bullets lol and had to start all over,
but it worked out even better with the new shells, cause i dont have ta do much guessing this way,
and its set up fer all of my feeders.
no knobs , just point and shoot..
whats nice is my fittin to be 12 y/o daughter has taken to the mil, and is callin out which mil to use, and she even came with an accurate windage mil as well..put me inside of 6" from the bull at 574yrds. proud papa...lol she is the smart one..i just shoot the gun lol

Why do you feel like you need a dot? Where the cross hairs intersect is you aiming point. No need to have a dot larger than your cross hairs on a hunting rig. All a dot is going to do is give you a less precise aiming point.

I found what i am looking for. Swarovski makes scope with BR-I. The problem is they are really expensive. Here is what it looks like.

The dot is made for more accuracy when shooting at long distances.
