Long Range Blackpowder Scope
Hello forum,
Looking for some advice on a long range scope to be mounted on a 52cal Knight long range hunter...This rifle is quite capable of shooting ethical shots on big game out to 300yds with plenty of velocity and energy....What I'm looking for is a scope with plenty of moa adjustment to allow for approx bullet drop of 25inches. Ideally, I would like to get into a 30mm tube, 50mm OB with magnification in the 4 to 12 range and a mil dot reticle (illuminated would be a plus) . As for glass, something in the range of a VX2 leupold or bushnell 4200 would be adequate to maximize those first and last 5 minutes of legal hunting time. ...Last item is something that's not going to break the bank so the $500 cdn range would be of interest.
Thanks,
Parky

Perhaps a Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16 X 42 with mildot reticle. It can be had for around $550.00 USD.
Another option is a Sightron SII 4-16 X 42 with mildot reticle. It goes for about $415.00 USD.
Another is a Vortex Viper 4-12 X 40 with Dead Hold BDC reticle. It goes for around $400.00 USD.
That's a start. All three are very decent scopes.
