I just bought a new Kahles 4x12x52 scope and am mounting on a Sako .270 I am trying to stay as low as possible so I ordered the medium ht. 1 in. rings. Has anyone tried to mount a 50mm+ scope using this size rings. thanks

You may get away with the mediums depending on the taper of the barrel. If your Sako has a standard taper barrel, you will need to go the the high mounts.

Thanks for the response. You were right I had to go with the high. Its going to take some getting used to but I will be sitting so I should have the time for adjustments.
