Default VX-III vs. Conquest

I have put Leupold VX-III's on my last 2 rifles--no complaints. I just bought a Sako 75, and am considering putting a Zeiss Conquest on it. Good move, or stick with what I know?

I think you would be pleased with the Zeiss.

I do like my vx-III, but I also love my conquest.

I'd say my conquest is a better design, just smoother lines etc...compared to the leupy, but both have great glass, clear reticles etc...

I think zeiss is gonna be my new goto when I need new glass etc...

If you stay with Leupy, use the VX3 not the older VXIII. It compares nicely to the Conquests. I've had both (at the same time) and give a slight edge to the Conquests. Actually, either is fine though.

Another vote for the Zeiss.

The Leupold has the edge with eye relief, the Zeiss with the glass. For the money I say Zeiss.

Can't beat the VX 3, with the exception that some scopes with nearly the same quality cost a bit less. VX 3 is extremely durable and reliable, and it has been around a lot longer than the cheap Zeiss.

newton, take a look at the Leupold VX-3 L. I used one for the entire season and am extremely happy with it!
