Any Va. saltwater fisherman?

RE: Any Va. saltwater fisherman?
I do a lot of fishing in Maryland and Delaware. My in-laws live on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. They are on Deal Island which is about half way between Salisbury and Crisfield Maryland. When fishing by boat, we often cross over into Virginia waters. I've done a little surf fishing in Asseteague and Chincoteague also.

I only caught croakers and spot there. This was in the summer and I generally do a lot better surf fishing in the Fall. Much better variety and more action. Where do you fish? Tidalfish.com has a lot of sites for salt water fishing in the DelMarVa area.

Hey Taz,
I'm 4 hour inland but I love saltwater fishing. I fish the lower Chesapeake Bay some, especially when the rocks are biting. I've done a little spadefish and flounder fishing their also. I also go to OBX for a variety of fishing.
I also like reading the posts is tidalfish.com to get up to date info on whats biting.
Boy, I wish I lived closer to the coast.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

lonewolf that rock is what we have called striped bass since the beginning of time down this way, the first time I ever heard some one say striped bass I thought it was some fresh water bass I had never heard of.

Taz, find out your date's, and give me a call. We can fish either the ocean or the bay. Your catch depends on your timing (dates). Your about 45 mins. from me and another 40 mins. to the boat for bay fishing. Offshore, we need to leave the day before. We can sleep on the boat so no need for lodging. It's 3 hrs from here to OC. I don't like to start that drive at 0200. Plus, there's too much prep work to leave in the AM. Get all the work done the night before, and we'll be running while everybody else is waiting for the baitshop to open. As I said in an earlier post, offshore dates are filling fast. Bay dates are almost alway's open as we don't charter there. Good Luck. Capt Brad.

Capt. Brad the bay would be the best for him, I am sure he will be on a very busy schedule when he is home on leave. I wish I could give you a date, but I can't right now, but as soon as I know I will let you know. Thanks, we will work out cost when we talk.

I surf fish De. and Assateague and Hatteras NC. For some reason I skip right over Va. I am a member of the Easter Shore of Va Anglers Club, and they do a trip out to Cobb Island in June for Red Drum fishing. I was all set to go last year but the weather went bad....very bad and the trip was never rescheduled.
