Hunter, that the thing about fish names! From region to region, fish have many different names. For instance "specks," to most of us on the coast, are Speckled Sea Trout. In some other areas, "specks," are White Perch!
BTW, a gafftop looks much like a Channel Catfish, except that the top barb, and wiskers are much longer. They are pretty slimey too! They are edible, but I don't know of anyone around here that eat them!
