Default 28ga reloader

i have a 28ga and have been finding that shells around here are a little expensive, so i want to start reloading. could anyone reccommend me a press that is simple to use and is relatively cheap. also, what tools will i need? i need to know how to do it, and any tips that you can provide me with.

thanks

For the press , a MEC 600 jr is the best for your needs ( about $100.) ,so simple that my 13 year old neice loads ( with me watching ).
You will need powder , wads , shot , primers and hulls .
You can get lots of free loading data ,down loads from Hodgdon , Allaint powder , Winchester and IMR.
There is directions in the reloader box.
E-mail for every free reloading manual and save .
I load Rem , Winchester ,Federal , Cheddite and Fiocchi hulls to keep the loads seperated in different hulls.
Take your time ,read the manuals on how to ,FOLLOW THE RECIPIES no substation

It's sure hard to beat a Mec 600 when it comes to a single stage press!!

I think i bought my oldest one in 1971?? and it's still ready to load when i am!!

I have two MEC presses... 12 and 20 ga.. but I use seperate resizers...

I use 800X... kinda on the lines of the old "practice with what you hunt with" kind of thing...

All info given to use is correct, Mec 600,hulls,powder,primes, and shot and pleanty of reading to get the load that you want and there are a lot of them out there. One outfit that does nothing but shotgun loading is www.bucksrun.com and the other is www.ballistic products.com . As for Mec reloaders are great,i have a Mec Model 250 (With serial #,$) in the 16 ga i have used since 1955 and still use it to this day and i shoot 1000,s of rds a yr. so you can,t go wrong with them. hoopw i helped some vangunsmith
