I'm shooting 150gr Scirocco's and currently load at 3.600". That's what Hodgdon lists but I was wondering what the min/max acceptable range of OAL may be to determine the sweet spot for my gun with this bullet. Also does anyone shoot Hornady Interbonds 154 gr bullets with good results?

JD,
Sometimes I'd suggest to stay in one caliber to take advantage of different ballistics and only stock a couple of brands of bullets instead of stocking many different boxes of bullets in different calibers. But the reason I chose the 7mm RUM was I already had a 7mm/08 so I had plenty of 140gr pills. I shoot over several different tabletop wheat fields in western Oklahoma and liked the ballistics of the 7RUM the year it first came out. I think it really could be a toss-up for the 300 or 7mm but since I reload I really liked the extra BC the 7mm gave me at top velocity over 30 cals. Then the Scirocco bullet came along and pretty much evened them both out. Still the 7mm shoots flat for a very long way with my specialized bipod sniper hunting style. Where I hunt we get there long before first light and hopefully take a buck still chasing does on the wheat. Your hunting style and perhaps if you desire to ever hunt in Africa may take you to the 300 since you already own the 338.
