First of all Big country 296 and h110 are the same and you probable know that. But the only difference in velosity is between lots of powders. Meaning you buy two cans on h110 and you could see one being a little faster than another.

But to the topic. I have started to use H lilgun more and more. I like it better than H110 and get better velocities with H lilgun too and lower pressures. If I had to stick to one powder It would be lil gun and I would never look back. I like 33 grains over a 240 xtp or sierra JHC. but then agian this is in my 445 supermag and NOT for the 44 mag. And it was for LIlgun too. I am getting about 1650 Average with this load. Its max for my 445 supermag Dan Wesson with 8 inch barrel.

Thanks guys for all the info. I went to Cabelas today and bought CCI Large Mag pistol primers, H110, Rcbs die set, shell holder and a 250 box of Nosler 240 gr Jhp bullets. I think I am off to a good start. My Dad has some older powders laying around that I can try new loads with. He has Unique, Power pistol, 2400, bulseye, and blue dot in almost full cans. My pistol should be here tuesday or wensday so I cant wait.

Thanks again
Jay

Thanks for the info 445. Actually I never knew the difference in Winchester and H110 powders. I have usually stayed away from the winchester powders cause of availablity, and Hodgdon has always poured out good up to date load data for free mostly.

I am going to start looking at lilgun too.
