DG, Thanks for the information on the load. I'll give it a try.
For Roosevelt elk a 270 standard and the 270 Weatherby mag is more than enough gun. I have used a 270 standard for years.

Yes, Bullhunter, it would meet the minimum for elk. I believe the round you are referring to is called the 6.9X64mm (in Europe), and here is knowed as a .270 Win., nicht var??
