It might not change as much as you think. Try it and see. My poi changed very little at 50 yards when playing with reduced loads. And with a young shooter, fifty yards might be the limit you want anyway.

I shoot a .30-06 with 165s and 220s that only shift about an inch at 100 yards. If I put 180s through it it's a significant difference. I'm not smart enough to know the reason why.
