Loading die shortage?

I wanted a set of FL RCBS dies last week and could not find them anywhere except ebay. The ebay sellers had found a sellers market and dies were going for stupid prices. Some new FL die sets were around $100, many used sets had bids of $60 - $70 and still had a few days of auction left. Guys were offering #3 shell holders for $40! Shipping prices (USPS) were around $9 - $10. Price gouging is really offensive to me, but obviously there were eager buyers.
This morning I ordered new dies from Cabela's for the normal price, minus my military discount. Free FedEx shipping ( my order was over $50). I still need a neck sizing die but I can get started with the FL set.
This buying panic is crazy.

I was looking for some 30-30 dies and they were sold out everywhere. I also looked at Ebay and they were going for over $100. I took a chance and put a WTB ad over on 24hrcampfire and had a set for $30 shipped within an hour. It's nice to know that not everyone is out to gouge their fellow sportsman.

try and find quality bullet molds, hell even the LEE , & lyman bullet molds and similar cheaper commercial bullet molds,
are now rather difficult to locate at near the prices they have been sold for for decades
I called several custom manufacturers and they have very much longer part arrival estimates, business must be brisk
