Default Holy Smoke!!

I'm anticipating the receipt of my remington 600 today so the other night I stopped by the gun shop and picked up a box of 6mm Remington ammo. I asked how much. When he told me $28.50 I about swallowed my tongue!! Good grief - I'm sure glad I reload. I came home and bought a set of RCBS dies with shell holder for $26. Next stop at the shop I'll pick up some good old 100 gr Hornady Interlocks and refill those cases.
I'll likely start with IMR4350 powder as that always worked well from my 243 when I had it.
Anyone have a favorite load for the 6mm/244 Rem they'd like to share?

I feel your pain Bronco! For us 6MM Remington lovers, the price of Remington Core-Locts are at least 33% higher than the same in .243 Winchester, IF you can find them!
thanks to reloading it's not a problem. Long story short, I got rid of my 6MM years ago, and regretted it ever since. In 2012, Remington offered it in the "Classic line," 700 CDL, stainless, fluted barrel. I jumped on it! Wish I'd have bought two or three of them now, as it is a tack-driver!
My next quest is to get a Rem. 600 or at least a Model 7 in 6MM!
Congrats on your acquiring a Rem. 600, 6MM!!!! Enjoy it!
P.S. I'll give ya a hundred bucks for it!

My best load so far is 43 gr. IMR 4350 with 100 gr. Hornady BTSP. Still experimenting, it seems as I work up loads slowly my 6MM likes hotter loads across the board!

JagMan - times that times 7 and I'll think about it!

RR - I don't think I have any 4831. I have 4340, 3031, RL-15, 4064 and maybe a couple other rifle powders. But not sure I have 4831. I know 4350 made my 243 shoot lights out! But if I have any 4831 I'll give it a try.

with the short barrel of the 600, you could do very well with the 4350, my 22" barreled 6mm definitely prefers 4831 with bullets over 85 gr.
