Default which powder for 7mm Rem Mag?

I've reloaded for 30-06 and 7mm08 for years. I just bought a 7mm Rem Mag. Now I'm looking for some favorite recipes for people that hunt Elk and nice sized Midwestern Whitetail deer.

160 Nosler, IMR7828, and a Federal 215 primer are in my 7mm Rem Mag elk/mule deer load.

I have taken a fair number of elk, and think the 140 grain bullets are a bit too light for large body bulls under some conditions.

I shot my bull elk with 150gr nosler partitions and 63 grains of imr 4831. My new whitetail load is 139gr hornady sst's with 65.5gr of RL 19. I used federal 215 primers for both loads. Havent got a chance to take a deer with this load yet but the rifle shoots ragged 1 hole groups with it at 100 yrds. Ill be sure to post pics of the doe i get with it when the doe season opens back up next week.

Shot a doe on saturday with the new load i mentioned above. She was about 80 yards away trotting broadside, bullet went through both lungs and made complete mush out of them, exit hole was about 5/8". She made it about another 10 yards before piling up. I think this is my permanent deer and antelope load. Unfortunately the wife broke the camera taking holiday pics so i dont get to post any graphic photos lol.
