Hey DB, sounds we load alot the same way. I start all my brass out the same with a firing and then Fl size first to get things to chamber specs to get things started, then neck size for 5. I prep the brass the same except I don't trim as short as you do though.
I have had a bad experience with Norma brass with a .220 Swift a bunch of years ago and it left a bad taste in my mouth towards it since.
I have a nearly endless supply of Rem and Win brass for thats what several other agencies use and I am able to procure it when I am in need of it. We also use a lot of Horn. and Black Hills ammo and I found out that Winch. makes brass for Black Hills and uses a crimp on the primer of standard Winch. brass. I just have not been able to pick up any Lapua brass in .308 as of yet to try it out and do a water test for capacity against the others.
I take my brass to the 2nd trimming and after that firing, it goes in the brass bucket. Have had several necks and shoulders split and I just don't want to push my luck more than I need to. I as well have found that my loads approach the 3/4 throttle for when accuracy really shows its head. Even in my 22PPC and 6mmPPC guns, they really seem to shine about 3/4-7/8ths throttle for near perfection, (as close as I can ever shoot!!!) Thanks for the info and it is stored away for future use.

We just bought 1k of BHG and I was going to load them and found that they had a crimp on the primer. I called them and the tech I spoke to told me that Winch. makes their brass for them. LC may have made it for them before. This was about 6 months ago.
