Default RE: Different cases/different weights-will they affect performance in hunting loads?

lazyarcher,

The term hunting loads is somewhat ambiguous and means different thins to different people, so I' ll just adress the question.

Different lot of the same make of brall has an effect on load performance. When you start changing brands, things can go to pot in a hurry. If you want to use the PMC brass, start from the beginning and work up a new load, and don' t mix cases using your old load data. Since the case measurements are the same, a five grain difference in weight reflects a smaller combustion chamber. This will raise pressures quite a bit.[&:]
