Need the case length please. I got some new win brass and it measures 2.836 and was wondering if it needed trimmed. Will be using 7828 imr with 130gr. I notice that most people use fed 215 primers, are they better than win mag primers for the stw? Ill be using a sendero fluted, the oal on some loads I read were3.580. The bullet touches the lands approx 3.728 . The max oal that will work in my mag is 3.675. What oal should I use? Thanks

The case lenght that is listed in the Nosler # 4 Reloading manual is 2.850.
The best primer I have found is the Federal 215.
I use 79-grain of IMR-7828 topped with a 140-grain Nosler Partition.
I also use 77-grains of H-1000 topped with a 160-grain Nosler Partition.

The standard case length is 2.850" but the trim length is 2.840" so your cases are fine as is.I would start by loading to3.665" to 3.670" to leave a little clearance for bullet variations and experiment from there. My own stw' s aren' t very fussy about overall length and are loaded to 3.660" .I use only fed 215 primers in the larger cases.imr7828 works best in my rifles with h-1000 second.

My best accuracy by far for both of my stw' s is with 140gr ballistic tips.

That varies with the particular lot of powder you have and the lot of brass.I have seen pressure signs as low as 80gr with one rifle and lot of powder to 83gr with the other rifle and a different lot of powder.I am currently loading 80gr in both but with a different lot of powder and brass with each rifle.
