I don't remember if it was Remington, but I know it was the Cerberus group that bought Barnes. Cerberus also owns Remington and quite a few other firearm companies.

What Hog hunting said! They are both owned by the same company. I read an article last night about "VorTX" ammo that Barnes just came out with. It is actually being manufactured and loaded by Remington at their AK. plant. It has a Barnes head stamp.

I have to agree with JDHogg in hoping nothing changes with Barnes. Just tried their 168gr TTSX in my new Sako A7 in 300 WSM. I was working up a load so just loaded 2 shells for each different load. First two shots touched and the remainder of the loads were within 1/2 " or less. Best grouping I have had out of any rifle. I worked up a load using Nosler Accubonds in 180gr and the accuracy was not near as good.

But, but, but, sir. The panjandrums who write articles for the gun rags claim that premium priced bullets are guaranteed to turn a gutshot into a bang flop 100 percent of the time.
