Nosler Partitions

I' ve been reading alot about the performance on game of the Nosler Partition and i like what i' ve heard about these bullets so i' ve decided to load some and see what kind of accuracy i can get with them from my 25.06. This load will be for whitetails only and my question is should i go with the 115grn or the 120grn. Thanks!

I used them on Moose. Really don' t think deer will know the difference on the wieght. But from a 25-06, you might have to worry about haveintg a bonded bullet. It will work well I believe. I would probably opt for Bullistic tip on deer. Get more expandsion I believe. Save the partition for heavier game where penetration really counts. I always get good accuracy out of Partitions, not benchrest accuracy but good hunting accuracy.

I hav too agee with bigcountry on this one! Partitions are great bullets but a little " heafty" for deer. Give Hornady 120gr HP a try, they preform execelent on deer and pronghorn...;)

Partitions will kill deer but they tend to run further because the partitions don' t expand as rapidly as most bullets commonly used for deer.I also don' t find them as accurate as most other bullets in my rifles.

DG -Which nosler bullet are you talking about?I am only familiar with ballistic tips and partitions in 100gr .257" bore.

DG-The nosler website only lists ballistic points partitions and accubonds.Would this be the old solid base that was discintinued several years ago?

stubble, seems we are always totally opposite. My 300RUM with the krieger barrel loves the 180gr partition better than any bullet. Hates Re25, but loves H1000. I got .4" groups at 200 yards a few times with them. Go figure, every gun is different.
