Probably not but its never a good thing. Brass probably needs annealed and even new brass can be too brittle and split. I have a large lot of .357 max brass that I got new that is too brittle to use without annealing first thing. Remington actually sent me replacement brass free gratis and let me keep the original stuff.

I think that I would want to figure out why it is splitting before I shot too much more of it. Where is it splitting at?

just some wolf 223's i been usin as fun bullets to play with..splittin at the neck

they are steel cases i think and we shootin em outta an AR
