I wouldnt worry about what your using, it will be more than exellent.

when getting ready to hunt witch is half the fun, shooting with confidence is what it is all about, sounds like your guide wants to err on the side of over kill , I can understand that , but shot placement is always the key , shoot what you got and be as confident as always, don't second guess yourself, sounds like you got the right combination for your self, stick with it with confidence and you will be just fine. good luck
