RE: New to reloading
Another vote for the Lyman manual . Then after you read it a good starter kit I' ve been using the LEE chalanger press for years and if you are only interested in non magnum rounds should work well for you. It' s available in the aniversary kit for around $68.00 . I never really liked the looks of the LEE scale ; I have an RCBS scale and never had a problem. Good luck.

RE: New to reloading
I agree that the Lymna manuals contain a lot of useful info. The reason for this is they have no bullets or powders to sell, so they are pretty broad-minded when it comes to loading data. Yes, you can use the RCBS dies with almost all other brands of presses. If you can get that Lyman Handbook No. 39 for a low price, buy it!! It is a classic, and contains some info no longer available anywhere else, even if the majority of the loading data per se is pretty much outdated. I have a copy of No. 39, and enjoy reading parts of it still!!
