I finally did it! A five shot 100 yard group measuring .910 inches from a Winchester 94 30-30. This is a stock " out-of-the-box" rifle with a generic 3-9x32 scope. Scope was set at 6x. There was a 10-15mph wind in my face. I loaded 30grains H322, Speer 170 grain FNSP, CCI 200 primer, Winchester and Remington cases. Nobody can ever tell me these rifles and this caliber are not accurate. I have perforated paper to prove them wrong.

That is a very good group for a model 94.How large are the other groups you fired with this rifle and load? If you can consistantly group under an inch with this rifle you do indeed have a very accurate rifle.

I was developing a load for this powder. I had never used it but heard it was very accurate. I had only worked up 5 rounds for each load. I' m going to load a couple hundred rounds this weekend and head back out to the range next week. I will let ya know. Also I plan on having the trigger lightened some this summer. Get rid of that 20 pound trigger and it should get even better. or at least easier to be consistent.

Blood,
That is great shooting with ANY lightweight rifle. Now you need to do it again. Then you will really have bragging rights for your rifle and load. Keep in mind that even a blind chicken finds a kernel of corn once in a while.
