Default Heavy Bullet .223 Powder

On of my buddies is having fits with the 75 gr. Hornady A-Max bullet. Trying to seat it in a fast twist .223 so the overall length will fit in an AR-15 magazine. The best powders are being compressed severely. Any ideas on this one?

Most folks I know of, that run the 75gr A-Max in the .223, are using H335 and seating them to touch the lands on their bolt actions. When I loaded them for my AR, it was a single shot endeavor.

Single loading is the way to go.

If you are loading 75 gr bullets, its most likely thatyou are looking at doing longer range shooting anyway.

Exactly. Varget should give you great results.

60 gr VMax and Varget will work well. If you are dead set on heavier bullets, 69gr Sierra MK or 77 gr Sierra MK.
