Ok, if you are going to use the dipper, get a powder trickler too. It will allow you to fine tune your loads so that you arent +/- 1 or two grains on each load. The dipper is a great way to get started, but like I said, it is only so accurate and a powder trickler is only a few bucks. Combine that with a Lee Safety scale and you are set for making some fine hunting loads. Like I said above, I have an RCBS RC130 scale that I paid about $30 for, but when I got the Lee Anniversary kit with the Lee Safety scale I boxed the RCBS one back up, the Lee Safety Scale is just very easy to use, set and maintain. Now if I where loading competition long range rounds, I would probably just get an electronic scale with built in trickler so that I can fine tune each load and get them exact. But for hunting loads if you are within +/- .1 or .2 grains you are going to be just fine. Remember that with hunting loads as long as you can maintain that 4 to 6 inch killing radius you will be pretty well off.

thanks for the help guys, I am going to hold off until the first of the year and try to talk to wife into the scale if not a better reloading kit all together. I just shoot some factory loads, save the brass. sad thing I had a nice load, did a beginner mistake, forgot record it and mark the cases, oh well[:@]
