Default Bullet Removers

How in the world do you use the kinetic bullet removers that look like a hammer? I tried to use mine, but I am am having trouble getting it to work. I am not too sure about banging a live round in that thing. How hard do you hit the thing? I put a bullet in an empty case to try mine.

I have tried hitting it on a table and with a mallet. The main problem I have is the bullet slipping out.

Light bulb!! I think I have been doing this backwards. I have been putting the case inside the cavity of the remover and trying to grasp the bullet with the collet. That is what I mean by slipping out. It comes out of the collet. Should the bullet be facing down into the cavity? Sorry for my ignorance, but that is why I asked the question.

Yes it's like chambering a round when you are set up correctly you'll see the primer. after the bullet is pulled the bullet and powder drop into the hammer. 3-4 sharp blows ( like driving a nail ) should give you an empty case.

The last time I used mine I had bought a bunch of .44 mag loads, and I don't shoot anyone elses loads but my own so I pulled all 200 rounds. They were supposed to be all the same load according to the person that loaded them; but when I pulled them it was obvious they weren't and some weren't even charged.

Good Luck
