RE: 140gr bullet 7mm Mag
Thats about all I shoot out of my Browning A-Bolt 7mag. 140gr Accu-Bonds, BTs. They are tack driving bullets for sure. I use the BTs for general shooting, messing around, been using the Accu-Bonds on deer since they were first introduced.
This season I am working up a load for a Barnes TSX 120gr, should be a flat hard hitting combo on whitetails and muleys. |

RE: 140gr bullet 7mm Mag
I've got an older A-boltthat LOVES the 140's. I'm a pretty big 700 fan but that a-bolt is the most accurate out of the box rifle I've ever been around.
I have shot a pile of whitetails with about every bullet combination under 160 grain. For that devistaing "right there he is" effect the 140's are about the best. If you don't mind meat damage, the Sierra is a good 1 (I have had 1 failure in a weedfield with these, I suspect it opened on the brush. Only had about 3" of penetration behind the shoulder. A 2nd follow-up nearly tore a shoulder off). The 7 mag is a cannon. Any bullet combo will work well. You'll be fine... |
