Default Need help with dies

I want to get some 30-06 dies... I'm thinking about Lee dies...

Not really sure what ones I need... I know I need full length dies... I'm in the Cabelas book and I see Lee Pacesetter Dies, Crimp Dies, RGB Dies and Deluxe Dies... I was thinking that the Pace Setter dies would work for me...

Can anybody tell me wich ones I can use???

The pacesetter dies are 18.99... I like that price

I loathe pacesetters. I have set for my 300win mag, and they caused horrible runout. I bought RCBS. Only die that lee makes I use anymore is collet dies. Everything else is junk. Even the collet dies will start sticking cause the cheap metal they use for the mandrel after about 3000 reloads.

"Everything else is junk."

i have had one set of Lee dies in my lifetime; in.223. They were awful. Go with Redding or RCBS.

This is going to be a little long winded so bear with me. I juststarted loading for a pair of 338 federals about 5 or 6months ago. Unless I was using FC brass the expander ball didn't even touch on the way back down. I called RCBS and after about 1/2 an hour or so of going over my problem she told me they would send me a new sizer and if that didn't do the trick I was to send the dies and the brass back to them. I didn't have to send them back as the new die works great. The service I recieved was top notch, she seemed to care that I had a problem and promised and did resolve it. Guess whos dies I'm buying in the future, yep RCBS

Mr. Longbeard

Just as a thought I would suggest you get a universal 30 cal neck sizer, mine is a Hornady, then you can neck any 30 you have. And I agree with the RCBS thought, they do offer 2 qualities of dies so you will have to make that choice....

The neck sizer may cause feeding problems with the auto. I'd go with small base dies. I prefer Rcbs, Redding or Hornady but Lees will do just fine for your purpose..
