I do that for handguns alot. And my varmit rifles. I have found two factory loads that will shoot within a half inch of my handload. Good for when you prairie dog shootin and don't want to use your good handloads.

I traded with a fellow a few years ago for a 7 mag browning,he said it shot one hole groups with factory bullets, didn't believe him untill I tried them.
Bought 270 sps rem last year a fellow at the range gave me 7 of the 130 fusions to try shot a 3-shot group in one small hole, still have 4 left.
When the rem 260 came out I had to get a box of factory to get the cases for reloading, danged if they didn't shoot one hole groups in the rem mtn 260.
But I had rather shoot my reloads thats a big part of shooting.

I hardly ever shoot factory Ammo, there are just to many lots of ammo, thats why I have always handloaded my ammo, the ammo I shoot this year will be the same next year and until the 8# of powder I have is shot up on my favorites I will buy 2 or 3 8# kegs of powder with the same lot numbers.
