I just got a new 7mm Rem mag(M70026" bbl)and started working up loads for it. I worked up to 67.5grs of R-22 overa Nosler Accubond that makes about 3180fps in my other 26" M700. I took the new one to the range and it chrono'd an avg of only 3060 w/ this load. The barrel also seems to be a bit rough when I run patches through it. I've heard rough barrelscan speed up after they are shot a bit and smoothed out. Any experience with this or should I just work up a different load. Thanks for your input, Brett

Yeah, it shoots good, but I don't see it as a winner. I get 3125fps out of my 24" M70 in 30-06 w/ 54grs of IMR4064 and 150 gr Interbonds. I use 13.5 more grains of powder to get 65fps less w/ a longer barrel and lighter bullet.
