Default To the guys in the reloading forum

Would anyone be willing to assist me in trying to get a list of reloading supplies that we could pin up to the top of the forum and that way all of our new guys that are getting into reloading could read that first. I know there will be alot of different opinions but maybe we could settle on a #1 list ofNEEDED stuff and then another list of "not needed at first" stuff. I think if we take our time and build a well thought out list, it will allow newcomers to this forum to get some answers before they post. I will need help from everyone (especiallythe Pistol and Shotgun guys). Maybe we could have 3 threads pinned to the top? One for rifle, pistol and shotgun. My intent with this is to help guys who were in my shoes just4 years ago and have alot of questions, but at the same time hopefully stop all of the "what do I need to get started" threads. Im not looking to compile the list right now, just feedback on who is willing to help, and if anyone hasany pull with mods to get it pinned???

So whatdaya think ya or nay?????

As you said, if we can enlist the aid of the moderators on this, it should fly, I feel. I, for one, would be willing to add whatever I could for the good of the cause. You can PM or E-mail me in this regard if you wish. I personally think it's a good idea. This would be a "basic list" type of format, I assume, with no sqabbling over this brand vs. that brand. That can and is handled in individual posts. Sounds good to me..........

I would be willing to help with it also. Myabe also, we could post average prices of various equipment, from different sources, etc, with an explanation of where this or that would be better, etc. Also, lock thethread and designate 1 person to be allowed to post in that with information derived from other members, so it does not turn into a 40 page fiasco, and argument of what is better, etc, but rather, a thread that has information that is generally accepted by the people who put it together as accurate.

HMMMMM...

Well, next to the forum topic, on the main forum page, it has "moderators" underlined. I clicked on that link, and came back with 0 results, so that tells me that no one is a moderator for this forum. Maybe thats why we have had so much trouble in the past. I remember a while back trying to get the mods to do something in here and never got a response. Could be the reason why...

I guess I will have to result to hair and teeth pulling, eye gouging, and threats of ridiculing them into submission.

Later,

Marcial

I for one would make use of the info, would be nice to have it all listed out on one forum topic instead of 12. Good idea, Mossy..

Moderators would be needed, as my list of absolute necessities is a lot shorter than a lot of other guys' lists!

I would like that. I am curraintly shopping for a press and dies etc. so that I can put down the 8 and 16oz. mallets and start reloading for real lol. The Lee Loader Classic is a great way to get started on the cheap, but will quickly wear out your arms from all of the hammer swinging involved lol.

I think this is a great idea, I know I would be very appreciative of a list.
