Default 300 weatherby mag

I have a load i whould like to share with you guys. im using imr 4350, 84.7grs, with the nosler 125gr ballistic tip. People keep telling me that that is a varmit load. at 3758fps, youll find that it will do the job on just about most of your big game. they group really well at 300 yards and i havent had any thing run 5yrds yet. good luck to those who try this load.

I have used the 125 Ballistic Tip in several .30 caliber rifles - none as potent as the .300 Weatherby - and I'm not sure I would use this bullet for anything larger than an antelope. Great turbo-charged varmint load, though. I assume you are shooting these deer in the ribs, broadside shots only?

If one is hunting for horns to hang up, this load is acceptable - if one wants something to eat, I agree with Elmer Keith-"I want more meat than what you can wipe off the bullet."

this load will not make an exit no matter how close you are. im one who will take a sholder out and it dosent destroy the meat like alot of people think.
