Loaded up some 7mm 140gr Accu Bonds
I've been wanting to try out these 140gr pills since they came out, and I finally got some loaded up tonite.
I loaded up the 160gr AccuBonds the first few months they were out, and my old man took them on his elk hunt and they performed awesome. I was getting 1" 3 shot groups at 300 yards with them when I worked them up for his hunt.
I stuffed 66gr of RL22, Fed 215M primers, and brand new Remington cases with the 140s. I'm about a grain an half under max load, but according to the book these should be pushing 3300fps with a 24" tube and I have a 26" - so i figured I'm probably half-ways close to that mark.
If it isn't windy/raining tomorrow I will go shoot a few groups and post up the results. I am leaving for an antelope hunt friday, and this will be my load I'm using.

I have loaded the 140 Gr Nosler A Bonds in the 7 M Mag and for the 7MM-08 and both have shown outstanding accuracy. I have taken a couple white tails with the 7 M Mag and had great results and no tracking. I just completed working up a load for the 7 MM-08 and get 1/2 inch 100 Yd groups with great consistency. I think these things are the best bullets I have ever used. Good Luck on Your hunt !!!!

Shot the new Accu Bond loads this afternoon with about a 15mph crosswind at 125 yards. 3 shots printed exactly 1.5" high and .5" right of Point of Aim, in a nice little clover leaf (.75"). Decided it was close enuf to kill a goat.

Today I went an fired 5 more rounds in the calm weather for fun.
Here is the results.
The first three were the nice lil group, and I got kinda cocky and shot 2 more times and I guess the barrel heated up enuf to move the POI a lil left. The first three shots can easily be coverd with a quarter, didn't measure them as my digital caliper batteries died.

that is almost the exact load I use in my 7mm rem mag. 66.5 gr of Rl22 with Win primers and 140 accubonds. It shoots incredible, the only thing is I have lost ALOT of velocity. Im shooting a Ruger M77 with a 24" barrel and can BARELY break 3100 fps. I know its because of the shorter barrel, and with the accuracy averaging about .75 who cares about losing 150 fps.

Ridge Runner - Right now I have the bullets seated out as far as my magazine will alow. I tend to get best accuracy with this gun with that combination. I am not complaining about the groups by any means that it shoots. It is just kinda weird that it groups the first three in .5" or so, I never did measure the group.
Do you think that seating the bullets in a bit would help? I've been loading for years and I haver never really had to tinker with any of my loads, they all seem to shoot .5-.75" on my first try. But, this year I am in a tinkering mood so I may try something.
Also, this gun has a rough guess of 1,000+ rounds thru it, and I have never cleaned the bore. I can pull my bolt and the barrel looks great, has a lil fouling, not much though. So it might be time for a good cleaning one of these days.....

I have had no trouble at all producing 3200fps with 140gr bullets out of a 24" barrel using r-22.
