I dont know why but the smell of burnt green dot smells really good to me. especially on an early morning after firing your first shot openning day dove season. kind of an odd post but just curious if anyone else has given this any thought ever.

Speaking of the smell of burnt gunpowder, factory Federal papers have a unique smell to em....they take back to when I was a very young kid dove hunting with dad.

I am glad that I am not the only one that likes the smell of gun powder. Everyone that I know thinks that I am nuts because I will sit there and smell the air after the first shot of the day. I like all powder smells except for any of the powder that I put in my AR-50. It gets shoved up my nose so fast that I don't have time to enjoy it.

Yes, indeed! The smell of shotgun powder smoke is quite pleasant, as is the odor of Hoppe's No. 9. In fact the great smell is about all the benefit you get from Hoppe's!
