i work up in .5gr increments in everything

I always start with .3 grain increments. No real reason, just always have, guess thats the way I was taught. Usually when I find a group out of the mix I then go back to .1 grain on both sides of the group and see how they do. Always come away with what I feel is the best load doing it this way. Some say I waste powder and bullets this way, but I enjoy the bench time loading and then shooting.

I reload in 1/2 grain increments.

I just started loading my .50 cal and was using 2 grain incrememts. So it really depends on the amount of powder your start up load takes.
