Default Trying some new bullets for .223...

I ordered two bullets I have not tried before from Midway yesterday. Since I keep running into hogs every time I go coyote calling, I decided to try and load some bullets that offered a little better penetration. Some Sierra Gamekings 55 gr. and 60 gr. Nosler Partitions. I finally got my Barnes Triple Shocks shooting decent about the time I ran out of them. At nearly$25 for 50 bullets, I decided to try something a little different. Anybody used either of these bullets before.

Also, I have IMR 4320 and Win. 748 for powders. I'm thinking about trying a new powder, any recommendations?

20" barrel with 1 in 9" twist if that helps

Update (without pics sorry)
I've loaded and used some of the 55 gr. Gamekings. Here is what happened last weekend:

Iwas predator calling late Saturday evening when I ran across a bunch of feral hogs. The hogstook off running through the brush, I picked one out, fired, and lost sight of him. The hogs ran around a little while, thenstarted grunting around calling to each other. I walk to the sounds, see one about 100 yards off, aim for the head, and fire another round. Hogs go everywhere. I can hear this one squealing and kicking. I watched as a few more ran by, but I held off on another running shot.

I approach the wounded hog slowly with the gun aimed. Turns out the noiseit was making and the thrashing was all reflex. The shot had hitit square in the head andit was likely dead before it heard the shot. It was a nice sized sow, maybe 200 lbs.

I start walking back to my gear, and stumble across the first hog. This one was a boar, maybe closer to 250 lbs. It was nearly dark, and I smelled him before I saw him. The shot hit him the heart, anchoring him almost instantly. He was only about 80 yards away when I shot. He made it less than five feet from where I shot at him to where he fell.

Neither shot exited, but both seemed to offer very good penetration for a .223. I haven't shot these at the range to see how accurate the loads really are yet, but I guess I can't argue with the results.

I returned to the hogs the next morning to see if the coyotes had shown up. No coyotes.......................................but something had drug the sow about 20 yards and then settled down for a meal. Apparently, the big cat is still roaming the woods.

I think I tried every powder in all 5 of my reloading books and for the 223 for a combo of accuracy and velicity none even came close to Accurate 2230 I like the 55 gr Siearra BTHP for coyote and the 60gr spire point for deer and hogs. Lee
