RE: Hodgdon Powder vs IMR Powder

My bench contains Hogdon 335-4198-4895-blc-2-benchmark-varget-H110,and IMR4350, and XMR4350, and Hercules 2400,and Aliant unique- Blue Dot- RL15- Bullseye, and Win 748. I'm beginning to see the need to condense my powder inventory. I'll likely not buy anymore 2400 as the H110 will do the same thing in my 44 mag, and seems to be cleaner. I've been loading H335 and BENCHMARK in my 45-70 , 223 and 308 lately and seem to be getting great results, although Idon't think I can let go of my Varget, it's good stuff in the 308. I think my BENCHMARK has an edge over Win 748 in my rifle and is cleaner to boot, so out goes 748. Though I haven't tried them the Hogdon test packs sound like a great idea, 4 different powders within the same range of burning rate, 4-4oz cans for the price of a 1 lb container. For working up loads for a new rifle this should be great!
