I'm currently loading H414 with 145gr Speer Hot Cores. Getting around .75" groups with these at a near max load. Pushing 2875fps out of my Mountain rifle with 22" barrel.

Id take a real good look at h-380 to. Its been my powder of choice in both the 7mm-08 and the 260 for years. Runs through the powder measure super consistant. And has produced outstanding accuracy.

Fl Still Hunter,
I think you'll enjoy the 7mm 08. My daughter an I both had one and wrung them out pretty good. Several deer, an antelope and cow elk fell to them. I found the cartridge receptive to several different powders and bullets, but the best accuracy and velocity were achieved with H-Varget.
