I would like to purchase Barnes 225gr in .308 caliber. Does anyone have these bullets for sale?

That's a very heavy 308 bullet.Do you have a typo, maybe a 225gr 338 bullet.

At one time, there were Barnes Original bullets in very heavy weights in a lot of caliber, such as a 195-grain in 7mm, etc. A lot of these have been discontinued, so they are not available in normal commercial channels, but some people may still have some in stock somewhere. I believe that's hauqenna is seeking here.

I'm not showing this bullet as currently being offered in the Barnes catalog. For whatever application you had in mind, the heavier Barnes X or Nosler Partition bullets should provide plenty of penetration. There is a also a 200 grain Sierra Gameking that I have used in the past with very good results - if a conventional soft point is what you want/need.

Hi Haugenna:

I haven't seen a reference toa Barnes 225 gr Original. However, Barnes does list a 250 gr Original (WHOPPING SD of .376!!!), in #3, of which I happen to know where asome are available...

Let me know if the 250 gr meets your needs (BTW, #3 lists velocities in the 2,475 range from the Winnie).
