I agree with you to a point. However, I'm sure the test performed at 20' approximates magnum velocities at a little over 100 yards, so in that respect the test have more weight than I think you're giving it. I do agree that it doesn't address the question of much higher velocities at the same distance. I put the info in the thread to help those who may have a question on a fairly new bullet. I remember how hard it was for me to get information on reloading when I was new at it. If we old farts don't try to help the younger ones, then we're not worth having around.

I hope you don't think i'm nit-pickin on you, because i'm not! I'm one of those "old farts" too!!

BUT, one thing you didn't take into account is, the same bullet out of a magnum is "spinning" faster, and that affects how a bullet expands too. Long ago i did some test on that, as i think it was John Wooters that pointed out to me that the spin "also" affects bullet performance... Anyway, it did seem to matter in my test...
