Once fired or new brass.

How do you like your brass, I like mine once fired so the strech is done.

I like mine once-fired, as well, with a little seasoning on top. Just kidding. I do prefer mine once-fired....because I neck size only, after the first firing.

I also like new brass to start with, not saying that I’ll through it away once it’s been fired.

if I go out and BUY brass, I'll buy new when I can... But I don't have anything against once-fired... I'd just like to get that one more load out of it...

crimedog,

While I do all my case prep work on virgin brass, I do not start working for a load until all brass has been fireformed. I've actually measured the loss of velocity that takes place when firing full length sized cases, the larger the case, the greater the volocity that is lost, and runs from 25 fps to 45 fps. Good luck.

I purchase new brass to reload. I have my loads worked out and the brass will form to my chamber.

I am interested in getting into reloading, and I have a question brass. On average how many rounds can you reload using the same brass before it wears out. Say on a medium load 7mm Rem mag?

I purchase new rounds to reload as well. As for how many times you can reload that depends on what your reloading and how hot you reload it. Any signs of cracking or separation and in the garbage it goes.[:'(]
