If the GOP holds every seat they now hold they still maintain control and if they take a DEM seat then the DEMs are just that much farther back. The DEMs are the numerical underdogs and I don't believe the normal course of action in which the party holding the WH loses the congress will hold fast this time around. The DEMs have very little to offer and I really don't think the nation wants Piglosi running the house especially when she has publicly stated she will repeal the tax cut which would jeopardize the economy which has finally straightened out after the DEMs ran it into the toilet.

Also look at what happened in the elections just yesterday. The GOP came out the winner. A couple were very close, but it is the end count that matters and the DEMs fell short.
They fell short but not as short as they should have. I suspect the dems will run a fake anti Pelosi candidate in a lot of districts.

I hope you are right but so far the normal course of action has applied and We hold way more of the "toss up" seats

Alsation, could you do some of us, especially me, a small favor and try to use less words I have to break out a dictionary for? I'm well educated and been told I was fairly smart but sheesh I hated English lit!

I do believe one thing we should all look out for is the GOP Trump haters. You know they are still out there and working daily against everything Trump is trying to do just out of spite. That very well could bleed into these mid term elections.

Voter turn out will be the key. It is a shame the Republicans do not realize the enormous Democrat/anti-Trump motivation engulfing our nation and get off their duffs to tout the accomplishments. Someone needs to take Twitter away from Trump or at least start reviewing tweets before he posts. He does not help himself or his party when he trashes people. TAKE THE HIGH ROAD TRUMP! for once.

The Republicans have held the house seat in the 12th district in Ohio today they were predicted to lose. Winning!

We squeaked one out in a strong republican district. I'll take it but its cause for concern.

You still don't think Trump knows how to win? The only question is can he be everywhere we need him often enough?

Without Trump being Trump the dems take a strong republican district in the middle of Ohio from us today.

I have wondered if this would be a step in the right direction as well, but after seeing how many people read this tweets no matter what he says, he is getting a lot of attention and there is something to be said about that.

If people find his tweets abhorrent and offensive, then just don't follow him, right?

The MSM has the same choice to make regarding Trumps tweets. They don't have to report on it. They do because they feel they can use it for further tearing him down and supporting their narrative.

I think Trump wins with Twitter. People love him for it and ultimately admire his candidness imo.

I think Trump is so different from the normal inside the beltway political lifer that the rank and file working American is attracted to him. I am not enamored with his tweeting, I have no use for tweet, or face book or any of that nonsense, but it seems to be working for him. The harder the left attacks Trump, the more he turns it against them. He is an enigma in Washington and the enemy, ie the left does not know how to handle him because he is not predictable like the lifer politicians. The left rails and Trump succeeds, it is a beautiful thing to watch. It is just evidence that Americans as a whole, the real Americans, not the socialist left, is ready to take control from legislators for life!

I'm like OT, no Facebook, no Twitter! I'm also not so fond of Trump's tweeting, but I don't think it is costing him any support either! Best of all, it drives the left nuts!
Trump is unconventional, to say the least! But he has done well even without much help from the GOP.
The media won't report the truth anyway, so I guess he gets a good outlet in Twitter!

You said a mouthful there. Lets be honest, simply being Trump is working very well for him. It's not perfect by any stretch but our system has been pretty lack luster since Roosevelt, and JFK. Nixon was a perplexing character and Reagan had his charms. But Trump is a whole other animal and people should keep that in mind.

The voters like who they like.
