So, we're discussing how the leftist media is playing up supposedly "heated rhetoric" on the right, and laying blame on the right for this incident by implying that it occurred because of that right-wing rhetoric, and, those on the right are not allowed to query why the left is ignoring the fact that there is heated rhetoric coming from their side as well? Your side brings up examples of supposedly "heated rhetoric" and all we're allowed to say is "no it wasn't?"

You say the "question here is the recent rhetoric." Are you implying that only the right has engaged in this rhetoric? Why are you not taking the media to task for limiting their attacks to right wing rhetoric, rather than fairly acknowledging that heated rhetoric has come from both camps (and I would assert even more commonly from those on the left)? Will you acknowledge that the media is wrong for even mentioning right wing rhetoric? That this is simply a case of a nut gone berserk?

In March [Palin] unveiled a “Take Back the 20” website, featuring a U.S. map targeting--with bullseyes--20 Democratic House members, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. In announcing the list on Twitter, Palin urged her supporters, “Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!” Palin made the phrase a part of her campaign trail repertoire. The site was taken down in the wake of Saturday’s attacks (and let’s marvel that it wasn’t until something like the Arizona tragedy took place before someone in the Palin camp thought it was a bad idea).

But a Palin aide named Rebecca Mansour told a radio talk show host that the crosshairs were actually—wait for it—surveyor’s symbols."

Well, that clears up everything. Right.
I don't care for the woman. Maybe they were hairs, wouldn't surprise me, but are you seriously trying to say it started with her or any tea party?

You people and most people are running around like this is the end of the storm, far from it. This is just a small crack in a very large abused dam. I fear people are going to become very familiar with seeing hairs.

On a side note there was a guy running for office down south recently and in the add as he talked large about the immigration problem he kept waving a rifle around. Many thought the guy a hero. I thought his use of the firearm made him an idiot. Guy pointed it without knowing at the camera more than once. My 12 year old got an air soft for Christmas and as I watched him get familiar with it never once and he was conscious of it did he let the gun point at anything but a safe direction. I never even had to say a word.

Just curious, where are the cross hairs on a 9mm?

I mean, if Palin's use of the symbol is a problem, and no other political entitiy is at fault for using the same or similar symbols, then shouldn't we get to the level of nit-picking on the symbol itself. If Palin is to blame for the shooting, then her symbol would have to have been sights and not cross hairs, right?

Or maybe the idea of "targeting" a political opponent with gun related symbolism is the problem, and therefore anyone who does it is to blame.

Hmm... which scenario is more likely?

BTW, Palin should go away, and it has nothing to do with this situation.

This is ridiculous finger pointing.

NO, New jobs were not arriving as fast as the old ones were being either eliminated or shipped overseas. This is the 'globalist' mentality, for good or bad...and when some of those 'outsourced' jobs came back, they returned at 1/2 the original rates.
...Deleted by CalHunter.... These factories that moved out of this country needs to stay out and have no business rights here at all. Absolutely none IMO. They should of never been allowed to move to a foreign country without the rules of doing business here period. Again you prove that you want workers here to live like those in China and elsewhere.

Yes! You really do need to look into the mirror as you have no idea at all except for the fact you want more dollars for your purse strings and nothing else. That is the way of the republicans period no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Are you a CEO that wants more and more dollars regardless of whether your company makes a profic or fails? Hang on to your pipe dream because I will help them sink it for you..

He already had health care in this country. Was it perfect ? No. DId not need to crap-can the whole shootin' match in favor of a taxpayer funded system we could not afford. Did not need to lie about what was in it....and they did not need to keep it's contents a mystery buried under pounds of paper...we we 'need to have' is something quite different than the government's attempted power-grab of a hug portion of the nation's GDP and the dismemberment of a world-standard health-care system in favor of a piece of garbage that will benefit nobody.
Makes you mad that the people want a healthcare program doesn't it. Some want it so that they can afford to retire as well. You left that part of it out. Because if they could afford to retire it will make even more jobs available mr. dunce.. Most countries have a healthcare program in place and then if people want better coverage it is more affordable.. But that might hurt your pocket book change so you wouldn't like that now would you..

I agree with you it has nothing to do with nothing about this case. It only involved a confused nut case that went of the deep end and took things his way. Nothing more than that IMO..

once again you prove yourself ..... uninformed...Deleted by CalHunter... People HAVE healthcare...they PAY for it. If they can't afford it, they have Medicaid..oh wait..the feds are limiting it because parasitic pukes are abusing the system...funny, I have no such complications in my paid plan. And your people don't want a healthcare system, THEY WANT A HEALTHCARE SYSTEM PAID FOR IN THE SWEAT AND PROPERTY OF OTHERS. Parasites ...Deleted by CalHunter...and while we're at it, I believe it's the demokratz that raided social security, ensuring that people could not retire on a bankrupt system...and it is the demokratz talking about the seizure of individual retirement accounts so parasites ...Deleted by CalHunter... can suck the system dry...and it's parasites ...Deleted by CalHunter... refuse to scrimp and save so they can retire..no..you pukes wannna party it up for your whole life, live off the government teat...have others pay for your parasitic lifestyle...have others pay for your healthcare...have others pay for your retirement. And, to top it off, you support the removal of 75% of people's hard-earned personal income to have Euro-style death-camp health care. You ...Deleted by CalHunter... are ignorant of both your own country and the world in which you live. ...Deleted by CalHunter...

You can not even understand your own words of wanting people here to work for half price? here it is a gain now read it this time..

NO, New jobs were not arriving as fast as the old ones were being either eliminated or shipped overseas. This is the 'globalist' mentality, for good or bad...and when some of those 'outsourced' jobs came back, they returned at 1/2 the original rates.

As stated I rest my case on this one.. You are wanting more and more for your own pocket and the heck with any one else wanting to make a living..

once again you prove yourself an ignorant ...Deleted by CalHunter... People HAVE healthcare...they PAY for it. If they can't afford it, they have Medicaid..oh wait..
Yes you are very ignorant on this subject.. Medicaid does not apply to them until they have reach 65 and it is going to be even longer for me when it is my time to retire. Right now up here it costs a single person $1100 for health insurance when retiring at 62.. Double that when he or she includes the other half. I get work em until they die on the job.. You really have no idea do you..

raided social security
Your own cronies have done that! Under the idea of not raising taxes you stole from our dollars that were keeping this program going. Just like the stupid tax cuts for the rich again. We will just keep funds from going into the social security system and no one will get it later on. Just like government workers not putting into it but still able to collect it right. ...Deleted by CalHunter...

But the subject here is not about none of the above.. In case you do not know it it is about a crazy nut case shooting one of our elected officials.. So stay with the subject ...Deleted by CalHunter...

I am saying that the recent rhetoric is subject to some allegations by leftist folks. So we deal with if those allegations are accurate.

Not something years ago.

Well, I'm for sure saying that the remark about surveyors marks is a crock.

Well Beau, you nailed it, ALLEGATIONS.. No proof or fact. The left is always blaming the right for every bad thing that happens. It keeps them out of the limelight after screwing up this country economically.
