Sounds like you used Pineridge Taxidermy. Len takes forever but he is the best in Ontario and one of the best in the world. He`s usually real busy with African animals but he still does the deer and bears for local guys.

Actually, I never heard of Len or Jeff the Brain but would sure like to find out. 4 years, that's nuts!!!! Two is already driving me insane.
Is there a website of phone number that I could get for these guys in case I get lucky next deer season. Thanks.

You think 2 years is bad try 4. I had a bear rug from the" famous" Houles taxidermy out of North Bay. What a mistake, he gave me the run around for 4 years. When I finally got the bear, after near 50 phone calls at my expense, it was a poor job with little care or pride put into it. So where ever you go stay away from him!

2 years, thats crazy---think I would be looking for a new taxiderimist.
I take my mounts and fish to Fins & Feathers .He is the Best around that I know of.The turn around time is maybe 6 months,sometimes a little earlier,sometimes a little later,but when I do get it,I am very impressed with his work.
I just cant imagine waiting 2-4 years to get something done.
My oppinion is if the guy cant handle all the work,then dont take it till he has time to do more.

Len Murphy runs Pineridge Taxidermy out of Baltimore Ontario. The number is 905-349-2626. He has won the World Championship before and does incredible work. His business is on highway 45 north of Cobourg. He has a large showroom and is always willing to talk and show his work.
