swampthing; you're in a crappy situation. You could always make the agreement that those with buck tags put the tag on any buck shot (even yours). It's not the best, but it's better than spending the best season of the year arguing with those in the deer camp.

The 2 that didnt apply and have buck only tags are going home after 3 days. The 2 of us with either sex tags are hunting 6 days, you know as well as I do what will happen if we open the doe tags.
What amazes me is one of the guys came up with me this summer for a week, he couldnt believe how many does he saw! For a guy who has never shot a deer in his life, I think its pretty stupid he didnt apply for a doe tag!

lazyarcher; I'll be up near Sauble Beach, about 1/2 mile south of the 83A border. I wouldn't say it's swarming with deer but I know 2 does had their fawns and brought them up on my property.

Swampthing, your so right, one of the guys in our camp just loves it when it snows during moose hunting. I think he prays for it. Drives me nuts.....
Considering Deer populations are so high in Ontario and the effect that has on other animal populations, do you think it might be in the interest of the MNR to allow 2 deer per tag in one year and target those WMU's with the highest populations?
Just a thought.
