I have a magnificent 2500acre ranch in South Africa and am about to fence the perimeter and stock it with additional game ie, zebra, kudu eland, wildebeest, nyala, impala etc. With this I need the help of one,two or three investors/partners that are also keen conservationists and hunters that can share in its development and growth over time.I would be interested in any comments as to how this could be structured so as to be fair on both parties and at the same time by taking a once cattle/stock farm and converting to game making it a better place.

What fence height are you planning on going with?
What part of the country?
Is the land already overgrown or is it still mostly farm/pasture land?
Are there accomidations for hunters and do you have a plan on the numbers of animals you want to place on the property to build a breeding stock?
Are you subdividing the acreage or just perimeter fencing
Thanks

Thanks for the interest. The ranch is situated on the east coast of South Africa 60km from the town of East London and just 15km from the coast. It is still very much virgin country with open savanah thorn trees(acacia),rolling hills and wooded valleys with large trees and date palms.Plenty of water in the small streams and good grass cover. There are two old lands of 20-30acres and these could be planted with a pasture to supplement the game.I plan to take out all the internal fencing and erect a perimeter fence of 2.4m(8ft).this will keep the kudu, impala and eland from jumping over.Accomodation is at present a 4 bedroom farm house but in time will be replaced with a thatched lodge.Breeding herds of 20-30 animals of each species will be stocked and I plan to put in around 200-250 animals in total.
