This is obviously a fishing trip? I'm sorry but I'm just not sure where Bonar Lk is but I will tell you that you're going to be in the height of bug season in Ontario. So be prepared for hitting the tail end of black flies, right in the height of mosquitoes, deer flies and maybe friendly flies. Man, I hope you have patience and a ton of fly dope. Other than that, I do wish you the best for your holiday, and welcome to Ontario.

Ok, I have a brother in Chapleau. I'll try to get some information about the lake for you.

fished near Chapleau once at Shenango Lake. The bugs were definitely there! BTW Shenango Lake is a dry hole and the camp there is worse! Lots of good water around there though, just a bad outfitter on that particular lake putting too many on it for too long.

Good luck! Most every Ontario fishing trip I've made (and I go every year) has been a great time! I'll be on Mistinikon Lake near Matachewan in mid June.... cant wait!!!!

Slim, if you are not committed, I can recommend a great place about the same distance from home. Been going there for 15 years and I go back every year. The Walleye fishing is very good and the smallmouth fishing is just short of phenomenal. There are definitely more than 2 cabins on the lake but it is not overpressured by any means.

It's a boat in. We take our own boats and drive right to a launch ramp that isnt the greatest but I get my 15 footer in OK.
Keep me posted on how you do and if you want to change for next year I'll be happy to give you the info.

Okay, I've tried sending again but I'm wondering if it worked or not. If not, you can get ahold of me at [email protected]
