I don't have any property of my own so I belong to a local conservation club that has a rifle range. That's about all the more active I am in the club, just using the range. If I had my own property to shoot, I probably wouldn't belong to a club either, although I know I should. I'd like to be more active, but if I had that kind of free time I'd be in the woods. I don't get enough in-the-woods time as it is.

I belong to the Rocky Rod and Gun club so I can shoot at the very fine range they have west of Rocky Mtn. Hse. Alberta.
I belong to and am active in the Rocky Fish and Game Association which is affiliated to the Provincial Alberta F.&G.A. Our local club has a lot of fun together in the outdoors and we have an active youth club to get our kids involved in hunting and fishing. We do some habitat projects and rase money to put towards partnership projects with other organizations.
The AF&GA plays a HUGE role in sticking up for hunters and anglers in dealings with the Gov't. and other organizations.
You can buy a membership for the price of a case of beer and a bag of nachos. The benifits to you and your future sportsmen will be far greater than that. When the AF&GA goes to the Gov't and asks for a better deal for sportsmen the greater their membership the more likley the Gov't will listen.
If you are a hunter or angler and you don't support any organization that represents same, WHY NOT?

I've belonged to several clubs throughout my over 25 years of gun ownership. Currently I'm a member of Guelph Gun & Rod Club.
